According to the documentary DVD from Films for the Humanities & Sciences titled Marriage, these following facts were revealed:

Start of the 90s, 1.4 million couples divorced. Three times more than the 1960s.

75% of people who divorce will marry again.

In nature, monogamy is rare. Only 3% of animals form couples.

80% of society allow poligamy.

An American wedding averagely costs $20,000

Over 3 million couples live in cohabition. Four times more than in the 1970s.

Almost half of all children live in a non-traditional home.




According to Gregory J.P. Godek in his book "Confessions of a True Romantic", he stresses these key points:

An average American at age seventy-five years old wil watch a total of fourteen years of uninterrupted TV

There are 1,440 minutes in a day and 36,816,480 minutes in your life up to seventy years old

The majority of couples share feelings less than 30 minutes a week

The average American spends four hours or more watching TV a day

Most people spend less than 25 minutes making love

The majority of couples leave lovemaking for the end of the day when they are tired
